My name is Ulrike Kachel and I am a PhD candidate at Griffith University, located on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. I am conducting this research as part of my PhD. I am originally from Germany and moved to Australia in 2005 to do a Masters degree in ecotourism. At that time I wasn't even thinking of going further and doing my PhD, but here I am now.  

Before I moved to Australia I worked in the Internet industry, and I guess that's why my PhD research is Internet-based. With this research platform I want to engage with participants from all over the world to discuss their perceptions of climate change and how this might influence their own travel decisions.
